Propriété 1 : Soient $a, x_1$ et $x_2$ des réels ;
- $x_1 < x_2 \implies x_1 + a < x_2 + a$
THE AFFINE FUNCTION
Definition 1: An affine function is a function defined on $\mathbb{R}$ by $x \mapsto ax + b$ with $a,b \in \mathbb{R}$.
Study of the function $\bm{f : x \mapsto ax + b}$
Derivative:
The affine function $f$ is differentiable on $\mathbb{R}$ such that $\forall x \in \mathbb{R},\ f'(x) = a$.

Graphical representation:
Property 1: Let $a, x_1$ and $x_2$ be real numbers;
- $x_1 < x_2 \implies x_1 + a < x_2 + a$
- si $a > 0$ alors $x_1 < x_2 \implies ax_1 < ax_2$
- si $a < 0$ alors $x_1 < x_2 \implies ax_1 > ax_2$
Proof:
- Let $a$ be a fixed real number; the function $x \mapsto 1x+a$ is increasing on $\mathbb{R}$ so $\forall x_1,x_2 \in \mathbb{R},\ x_1 < x_2 \implies 1x_1+a < 1x_2+a$.
- Analogous proof with the function $x \mapsto ax$.

Propiedad 1: Sean $a, x_1$ y $x_2$ números reales;
- $x_1 < x_2 \implies x_1 + a < x_2 + a$
